Die Veranstaltung wird auch für den Masterstudiengang Computer Visualistics angeboten, so dass die Unterlagen in englischer Sprache zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
The course will be held also for master students, the course material is provided in English.

Inhalt / Content:
Der/die Studierende soll Sicherheitsprobleme in Multimediaanwendungen erkennen und lösen können. Dafür soll er/sie Fähigkeiten erlernen Multimedia spezifische Umsetzungen von Sicherheitsprotokollen für Bild, Video und Audio anwenden zu können.
Focus of this lecture is the security of multimedia applications. The studend will obtain the knowledge to apply multimedia specific security protocolls to media like image, audio and video.

• Motivation
• Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Digital Rights Management (DRM)
• Access Protection: Pay-TV, Scrambling and Encryption of Video-and Audio Data, User Authentication and Accounting
• Hidden Communication, Steganography
• Authenticity and Integrity of digital Media: Electronic Signatures, Digital Watermarking, Perceptual Hashing, Digital Forensics

Prüfungsvoraussetzung / Examination Prerequisites
Ausarbeitung und Vortrag zur Projektaufgabe / Project work and presentation

Prüfung/ Exam
Mündliche Prüfung (in der Übung erarbeitete Bonuspunkte fließen in die Wertung der Prüfung mit ein) / Oral Examination (Bonus points gathered in the exercise can be used in the exam).
